The Global Diploma Platform - Beta Version Operating Since January 2015
A scalable solution to enable high-quality secondary education in developing countries
It's not just what you teach, it's how you teach it
Hundreds of eLearning videos: All subjects are delivered with a unique visual teaching approach, inspired by state-of-the art e-learnig concepts. We focus on making students truly understand the material and not just to learn it by heart.
Covering all core subjects: We currently offer our course for Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.
Developed by experts: Our content development team consists of 40 PhD students from some of the world's leading universities, including Stanford, Princeton, Oxford and many others.
We are integrating Global Diploma deeply into the schools
Enabling teachers to do their job: Our analytics features bridge online and offline learning by bringing edTech to educators in developing countries. With our unique heat map analytics feature, teachers can see how their students are progressing by analyzing their video-watching-patterns. The darker the heat map color, the more often did a student repeat a section of the video, indicating that there were issues with the sub-topic covered in the video.
None of this would work without hardware and intense coaching: There are many eLearning players around. Most of them rely on software and content and assume that infrastructure and teacher/learner engagement will naturally follow. But if you want large-scale change, this approach will not suffice: You need to build the streets and open driving schools if you want to introduce cars - you need to provide computers and coach teachers and students if you want eLearning to become more than a lighthouse project.
There are no easy answers to one of the world's most complex and important issues.
That's why we're going all the way.
Making Global Diploma work
Stop talking, start teaching!
We are already working at 6 schools in Namibia, serving over 3,000 students per day
Augustineum Secondary School - an example of our impact
One of the oldest schools in Windhoek, Augustineum had experienced a steady decline for decades.
Under new leadership, the school is embarking on a journey of improvement - using Global Diploma as the vital ingredient.
In early 2015, we installed computer labs and security measures at Augustineum and started to provide intense teacher training by introducing concepts of eLearning and developing individual use cases with the teachers.
Since then, the teachers are starting to use Global Diploma with their students.
We don't need to build new schools - we just need to turn existing schools into the change agents they can be.
